For Mother's Day, Steve got me some flowers (and chocolate, bless his heart! :) They are so vibrant and happy that I wanted to share them with you!
Most of the family went to church on Sunday, which was such a special treat! The only ones unable to go were Josh and Karen, since they had to work.
In church, the children sang to their moms. It was Matt's last year to sing to me. I'm going to miss that. I hadn't planned on Michael singing, but he really wanted to and took himself up there and stood straight and still and did his best to sing the song... I don't know if he knew the song, but he sure tried! I had lots of people tell me how much they love Michael after church. He sure knows how to make people feel loved.
Amber and Steve left church early and took baby Aiden with them so that they could get dinner started. Amber had to leave early in the day, and we wanted to make sure she got to eat with us.
Amber marinated and cooked steaks, and then she made sweet rolls as a special treat for me. Steve made potato salad. Emily made deviled eggs.
When I got home from church the house smelled so yummy! It was heartwarming to see everyone buzzing around, doing their part to make Mother's Day special for me. After dinner, Jared, Emily, and Matt cleaned up.
I don't think life gets any better than that, do you? :)
What a wonderful Mother's Day. Glad they all spoiled you...it's nice to have someone else cook. =)
