After the wedding on Saturday, we all decided that we needed some downtime, so we went camping. While the boys and Emily went off exploring and playing, Karen & Aiden took a nap, and Steve & Michael swung in the hammock
I took a nap for a little while too. Sleep wasn't so great the night before, with the coyotes or wild dogs fighting and barking in the distance... I was so nervous! I woke up Steve and laid awake trying to decide if I wanted to pack up camp and go home at 2 a.m., but.... the helicopters that was circling around us for a couple of hours must have scared them away. Helicopters aren't something usual in the mountains, so I'm not sure why they were there, but I'm glad that they scared away the wild dogs/coyotes, that's for sure!
And as for the wedding pics I promised...... I didn't get any. :( I was running, running, running from before the ceremony until clean-up until 11 p.m. I'm hoping that the photographer took LOTS of snapshot pics as well as the portraits that she took of all of the family, the wedding, and the bride and groom.
Amber looked beautiful and Tino looked handsome on their big day. There were mishaps, but I guess they are really to be expected.
I hope that you all had a wonderful Labor Day Weekend and that you enjoyed all of it with people you love and who love you. Life doesn't get any better than that!
Glad you were able to have a somewhat relaxing weekend after the craziness that is weddings. The wedding was beautiful, and sweet and wonderful! If there were any mishaps, it was not known to many. I sure didn't think there were! I must tell you my favorite part of the whole thing though... Steve walking her down the aisle (or "up the walk" more like). It was a very special moment!
ReplyDeleteSorry we didn't chat yesterday...i'm dying of jealousy from steve in that hammock:)
ReplyDeleteCarlie: That was one of mine too :)
ReplyDeleteMaren: So was I! lol No, he offered it to me, but I took a nap inside the tent instead. I was so glad that Michael was happy for the hour that they were in the hammock, anyway. Poor kid! I've got to find a way to camp and make him happy.
